Who is Out Cold?
It is late at night in our miniature New York apartment and the only audible noises are the mechanical clacking of our keyboards, the whirring of our corporate issued laptops and the occasional deep sighs of exasperation.
This is exactly how most of our weeknights have been for the last year. The work, though challenging and (occasionally) interesting, suppresses and kills curiosity. Days become weeks, and before we can realize what is happening weeks turn into months. Life is more than our jobs and the what’s next mentality; it is something to be enjoyed and celebrated. We need to find a new way to express our creativity. We need to make a change.
As a collective, we have always been inspired by literature, music, fashion and photography, but we never truly considered doing anything with it. From an early age, we were funneled into lifestyles of high-performance, always considering the next step rather than enjoying the present. Moving to New York, however, was a revelation. We were inspired by the inexhaustible breathlessness and spontaneity of the New York streets. This energy moved us and inspired us to create. Thus, OutCold was born.
This is our way to show the world who we are, what inspires us and, most importantly, why life is amazing. We can’t wait to tell our story and to show people the world through our eyes.
